W--

Jay Leno Rocks!

Yep, he had his version of Dubya on and he cracks me up! The scary thing is that the fake version of Dubya is just a tad better than the "real" Dubya that lives on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Today's Candy--

Lady Dawnelle, this one's for you. Looks like the right amount of fur on this teddy bear.

Ms Smith goes to Washington--

Supreme Court to hear ex-playmate's case

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Dressed in all black, former stripper turned weight-loss promoter Anna Nicole Smith fought her way through a throng of photographers and autograph-seekers Tuesday on her way to a Supreme Court showdown in her bid to inherit her late husband's fortune.

Only in America, folks!

Late Nite!

I should be in bed. But I had to watch Leno when I found out that Colin Powell and Drew Lachey were going to be on.

I watched and could not believe that Colin Powell was dissing the Pretzeldent.

Colin, no more cell phone calls. They're listening!

And Drew, you are a cutey and I will be dreaming of you and me in compromising positions while your wife is giving girth (oops, i meant birth!).

Let's Make a Deal---

So tonight I once again find myself at Sis's house. (The London Broil that was supposed to be last night's dinner was postponed until tonight.)

And we proceed to watch the Howie Mandel show, "Deal or No Deal". (Yeah, Sis and I got hooked on it last December when the Bro and the twins were in Vermont skiing and snowboarding. Refer back to previous post. It's back there somewhere in the Dec. archives and right now I am too lazy to go look for it.) Deal! (with it)

I promise to come back later and give you a link. I promise! No Deal!

I only live two miles from Sis and when I get off of work and have the choice to go home (my place) and only have the company of my two pussycats and eat dinner by myself and watch these cheesy shows (No Deal!) OR go over to Sis's and hang with my closest friends (who happen to be family) and eat dinner with the group. (Deal!) I always choose the latter. I am a social kinda guy.

But you guys already knew that, right?

Weekend Recap--

Hung with the straight dudes on Saturday and watched "Saw II" and it freaked me out. It was freaky in that "I can't believe I just saw that" kind of way. Seriously! It was fucked up freaky.

Sunday I watched the Nascar race and was really getting into it at the end. ( I think my gayness is wearing off. Seriously? Nascar?)

And then It came roaring back (my gayness, that is) when we were excited to watch the finale of "Dancing with the Stars". Cutey Drew Lachey won and deservedly so. Did you see his "Save a horse, Ride a Cowboy" dance last Thursday? Bro-In-Law said if Jerry Rice won that he would never watch the show again. (I think my gayness may be rubbing off on him. tee hee)

And then "Grey's Anatomy". George and Meredith slept together and it fucked up everything.

Seriously!

Nope, still GAY!

OC 8--

Today's OC is Jeremy Bloom.

He didn't medal but damn he's still cute!

Random Rant--

The person responsible for designing the medals for these Olympics was definitely not Gay!

They look like donuts!

Or flat lifesavers? (See OC 7.)

Absolutely Must See TV--

Okay, tonight was the most competitive night of TV watching in history. The TIVO's must have been working overtime.

There's the American Idol Results on FOX. (We watched live with about 35 million of our fellow countrymen). Only one surprise among Sis, Bro-In-Law and Myself in picking the bottom two guys and gals. All of our faves were fabulantastic. Sis and I both have a crush on Ace and the Bro has a crush on the gray haired dude from Birmingham, my previous home town. I will explain later.

Changing the channel--

On ABC we have the final three of Dancing with the Stars. We switched over after Idol to catch the last performances of the final three contestants. Stacy the WWE wrestler, Jerry Rice from the NFL, and Nick Lachey's younger bro Drew did not disappoint. Sis and BroInLaw and myself all stood up and applauded at the final Cowboy Dance with Drew to one of my favorite theme songs, "Save a horse, ride a cowboy". There was even a Brokeback Mtn reference from one of the judges, and Drew took off his cowboy hat and put it on his butt. Like that cowboy hat would stop it? We laughed our asses off. And they danced fabulantastic! We rewound and watched their dance a second time. (Because we could!)

Changing the channel, again--

On NBC you have the most watched event of the Winter Games. The finals of the Ladies Figure Skating. Yay, Sasha Cohen for winning the Silver Medal after falling on her ass twice. I love the new scoring system! We watched the final six skaters, which were the only ones to count and watched Sasha take the silver and the Japanese taking their first medal of these games and it was pure gold. (BroInLaw works for Suzuki and his bosses will be in a good mood tomorrow.)

Changing the channel, again--

On CBS they had Surviror Panama. Is anybody watching this show?

Changing the channel, again--

On The WB we have another episode of Beauty and The Geek. Yeah, we watch that too. But we TIVO'ed that one. We have a season pass.

I have to shout out to the dudes who invented TIVO. What would we do without it? Especially tonight?

How sad that we watch this much TV?

You know you're a Republican if . . .

(Editor's Note: I borrrowed this from the Ass Kicker's site because I knew my Conservative Brother-In-Law would never see it there. He is a regular reader of my blog. Bro, it's funny, huh? And a little bit true?)

OC 7--

Here's more OC.

Ben Agosto and Tanith Belbin show off their silver medals. Now the duo has their sights set on gold for the world championships in March.

Did you notice?

Maybe you have wondered where the Olympic Candy had gone. It's not gone entirely! It will return as soon as a cute guy (or girl) wins another gold medal.

No honesty, I have lost interest in these here Olympics. (Apparently like the rest of the country.) I did watch tonight though, when the American Ice Dancing Pairs won silver. I already knew the results and it was still decent TV. (There's my next OC post).

Never mind!

Congrats Jake!

Congratulations to Jake Gyllenhaal for winning the British Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Brokeback Mountain took away four trophies.

Come on Oscars!

Way to Go-- and War Eagle!

AU's Cesar Cielo celebrates his victory in the 100 freestyle. He also won the 50 freestyle.
Auburn Men's Swimming and Diving Team Victorious in Quest for 10 Straight
Tiger women finish narrowly behind Georgia by 19 points.

Knoxville, Tenn. - For the 10th straight year the Auburn men's swimming and diving team took the SEC Championship leap into the pool after pulling off their most dominant victory yet, winning over Florida by 161.5 points in Knoxville, Tenn. The Tigers and Bulldogs took it down to the wire on the women's side, as Georgia claimed their first championship since 2001 by a mere 19 points.

The victorious Tigers take their traditional championship plunge on Saturday night.

I love me some swimmers especially when in the Orange and Blue Speedos. Wassup with this new speedo obsession I have been having lately?

Red States vs Blue States--

In this time where the cultures and religions are clashing and the whole country is divided into red states and blue states . . .

I propose the following: "Can't we all just get along?"

Prime Example pictured below:

I propose "The Color Purple"!

(Click pic for official site.)

Yep, just imagine. Oprah struttin down the dirt road ready to kick Mista's ass!

Celie and Miss Shug getting it on in the juke joint.

"Lord is tryin to tell me somethin!"

And the Daddy Preacher finally seeing the light!

Sounds like heaven to me!

Bountiful Candy--

ATTENTION: We interrupt the previously scheduled Olympic Candy with a Special Report!

Click here for the Cornucopia of Candy! I was there for awhile. Lotsa cute guys in Speedos in Australia. What more could you ask for?

It's not there anymore--

Looks like there must have been some legal action from the producers of American Idol. My Brokenote Mountain post from YouTube doesn't work anymore. They must have had their lawyers take action. Bastards! Now I have a link on my blog that goes to nowhere. Should I remove it or leave it as evidence of copyright craziness and taking their toys and going home without sharing with the rest of us. Just like 3rd grade. Bastards!

Maybe I will get one of those cease and decist letters from their lawyers for posting this image to my blog. Ha ha!

Top 10 -- (Everybody is Tagged!)

This is my Top Ten list of favorite things that have happened in the last 24 hours:

(in reverse order, of course!)

10. Found out that the college nephew and some of his buds would be joining us for dinner tonight. We knew he was coming, just not his friends.
09. Got to see Just Zack after a long absence. He missed me too.
08. Dreaming wonderful erotic and strange dreams last night. Went to Sis's last night cuz JZ {see number 9 or 6) came home from college for a rare week-night appearance and we had Baked Ziti. I always use extra garlic and everytime I do I always have sex dreams. That could definitely explain my love of garlic. Huh!
07. Finding out today at work that we may now have a new health benefit plan.
06. Spent a wonderful evening with the All-Star Cast of Characters that are my family going to visit and torment the one whom was the first to escape the nest. (Just Zack)

Pardon the Interruption:

JZ got a job waiting tables at a restaurant chain and we went to have dinner in his section without his knowledge.

05. Bill Maher is back on HBO and it was fabulantastic!!! (made that word up live just now). It's now in the new official gay dictionary that is waiting to be published.
04. Glad that I can watch LOGO here in redneck Georgia, watching the Click List and they are playing some awesome videos. Perfect for going online to blog and shit.
03. Chatted online with fellow bloggers and made an insightful post, (if I do say so!)
02. I got online and came up with the idea for this meme tag thingy that I have yet to blog participate. (Sorry anyone who tagged me too.) You're IT NOW!
01. I am now going to bed in my Peebajaba"s (Still Sis's word!)

Traditions (A Day Late)--

So every Valentine's Day we have this tradition where Sis cooks Heart Shaped Hamburgers (She even cuts the sliced cheese into a heart shape) and we have Heart Shaped Strawberry Shortcake and we exchange cards and gifts. Well it was tonight cuz Sis got in late last night from the Seminar in Spider's hometown of Orlando.

We fixed our burgers and then opened gifts and cards before eating. Sis got some beautiful cards and some scratch off lottery tickets. And proceded to win $3! She was happy. Bro-in-Law and I both got a nice bottle of red wine. (Thanks Sis) And the twins got a cool skateboarding dude and some candy. We were all happy!.

And then we watched tonight's American Idol. (I told you we were hooked!)

It was so much fun, again. Two nights in a row! See I am making my straight friends jealous. I mean really, heart shaped hamburgers? Can those be any MORE gay?

Here It Is--

Update: Don't bother clicking on the video. It no longer works!

"My Brokenote Mountain post from YouTube doesn't work anymore. They must have had their lawyers take action. Bastards! Now I have a link on my blog that goes to nowhere."

Olympic Candy 4--

Today's OC is the surprise gold medal winner in the Men's Alpine Combined Event, Ted Ligety. Since Bode Miller was DQ'ed it was a nice surprise to have a fellow American take the bling.

BrokeNote Mountain--

So tonight I am at Sis's and anxiously awaiting her arrival back from a seminar in Orlando and after making sure that the twins and Bro-In-Law had completed all of their list of assigned chores (She made me house-Nazi in her absence).

Trust me that is another post in itself.

So we are watching American Idol. Yep, we are one of the 30+ million TV sets tuned in each Tuesday and Wednesday nights. (It's my fault. I got them hooked last season. )

They are in HollyWood NOW. And tonight they had to do the group thing.

Guess what? There were MORE GAY COWBOYS! It was too funny. They paired three guys up in a team and it had the crying cowboy from last week and two butch guys. Well, I may be generous in that "butch" part. One was a cutie.

And they parodied "Brokeback Mountain" and called it "BrokeNote Mountain". I am sure that it will be making the rounds tomorrow on the blogosphere. It was hysterical. As soon as I get a copy it will be posted here.

It was funny as the kids had no clue why we thought it was funny and one of them goes, "Mom, would this be funny if we saw that movie that you guys saw last weekend?"

These kids pay attention.

The movie has conquered the heartland if they are making parodies of it on America's No. 1 Show. Right?

I am sure that Andy at Towleroad has already posted about it. He is the official movie site.

Then we switched over to the Olympics and caught Johnny Weir come OUT of the closet on NBC right before he finished second in the Short Program of Men's Figure Skating. I was like, "He basically told the Right-Wing Republicans that he didn't care if he was a "Good Fit" for Men's Figure Skating and told them to FU. Yeah! You go girl."

And then Bro-In-Law goes: "Yeah, Tony he definitely goes to your Church." (That's slang for being gay for all you straight people.)

And the same twin goes, "Uncle Tony, you go to Church?"

And I replied, "Yes Kye, that would be the gay church!'

He already knew!

I love being GAY!

Straight people do NOT have this much fun.

(Unless you are My Sis or My Bro-in-Law.) And now my 10 Year Old twin nephews.

Are you jealous?

Love is in the Air--

For everyone but me! Sigh!

Happy Heart Day to all!

What a Class Act!

Cheek wins speedskating gold, donates bonus to charity

TURIN, Italy (AP) - Joey Cheek walked in with everyone expecting him to talk about winning an Olympic speedskating gold medal. Instead, he had something else on his mind.
The moderator immediately asked for questions. Cheek interrupted, explaining that he wanted to make a statement.

Did he ever.

The Olympic 500-meter champion declared that he was giving away his $25,000 U.S. Olympic Committee bonus for winning the event to help children in the war-torn region of Darfur in Sudan.

"I wanted to make it meaningful,'' he said. "It's empowering to think of someone else.''

Olympic Candy 3--

Joey Cheek. I am sure I can find a better picture than this one. He was much cuter on the tv last night.

Live blogging the OC (Olympic Candy)--

So I know who will be OC3 (Olympic Candy 3). Joey Cheek just won another gold for US Speedskating 500m. Another former inline skater. I wonder if he, too, is a FOD (Friend of Dorothy)? I am on the prowl for more info. Stay Tuned!

Oympic Candy 2--

Here's last night's Silver Medalist in the Snowboarding Half-Pipe, Danny Kass.

In lieu of the gold medal winner, Sean White who is too much of a skater dude with long red hair to be candy worthy today.

WTF?

I heard that Dick Cheney shot Dan Quayle!

No wait, that's not it. Oh he only shot his hunting partner while they were out shooting quail. Okay, now I got the story straight.

More Chad Candy--

Look at those dimples!

He is too cute.

Ha Ha Ha--

Sorry just had to post a link to THIS CARTOON.

She's Beautiful--

That's the name of that song! You know! The guy with the haunting voice. I saw him on Saturday Night Live and thought this guy is gonna be BIG! And now, every time I turn on the radio, that song "She's Beautiful" is playing. His name is James Blunt. I see Grammy's in his future!

Click Here! And Listen to This! And Watch This!

Thanks to a friend at the DNC Kickin Ass blog for providing me the link.

And to everybody out there: This is what music and art and movies and documentaries and other creativity can do to remind us of what some are trying to take away from us; the f**king rights in the Constitution to a free press and the right to free speech.

Hanging Chad?

More on Chad:

Chad Hedrick sets a new speed skating world record in the 3000m

- I am still an inline skater deep in my heart, even if in my mind I see my athletic future in speed skating -

The US American set a new world record in the non-Olympic distance of 3000m in Salt Lake City with a time of 3:40.88. One has to slowly get used to the idea that Chad Hedrick, 50-time World Inline Skating Champion, winner of the real,- BERLIN MARATHON in 2000 in 1:01:45 and 7th last year with a time of 1:05:00, has now also joined the “others,” with great successes with the speed skaters on ice.

I would so love to go rollerblading with him!

More Info on Chad--

Digging a little deeper. Oh wait I just went to Google Images and searched for Chad Hedrick and I found some more pics.

Here's a pic of Chad with some guy named Marco. They do make a cute couple.

Olympic Candy 1--

Tonight's first new Olympic eye candy has just won his first gold medal for the 5000m speed skating. He's Chad Hedrick, a cute Texan from Houston who sounded so "sweet" during his interview after the results. I think he may be a friend of Dorothy as his mom, dad, and sister were there but no mention of his wife. And he got his start inline skating because his mom and dad owned the local roller rink in town. Hello?

Thanks to Hot Olympians site for the pic. I will be basing my choices and stealing (borrowing) some of their stuff so I wanted to give them a shout out. Hey guys! And thanks for doing this for us bloggers.

New Candy--

Okay, so in honor of the Winter Olympics I will be posting only candy of our USA Winter Olympic team (male {lotsa} and female {some}) for my regular readers.

I watched the Opening ceremonies last night and trust me, there is plenty of eye candy on our USA team. My favorite Jeremy Bloom will grace the candy spot on the day he wins gold.

I hope you all enjoy!

Since the Winter Games are not known for showing skin here is a pic of Michael Phelps to tie us over until the Summer Games return.

I Love the Olympics--

Tonight, the twin nephews and I will be watching the Opening Ceremonies with some good Italian pepperoni pizza.

TGIF Candy--

Rumor has it we may get snow this weekend. I will stare at this cute swimmer to keep warm.

Lifesaver Candy--

Got Sucked In--

Yep, Jay Leno sucked me right in as soon as I found out Felicity Huffman was the guest. And they showed clips from TransAmerica. It's next on my list. I may have to travel to see that one though, unless it comes out on DVD soon.

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

You can always count on Jay!

So after finishing the Grammys and getting ready for bed, I turn on Jay Leno. And I just happen to catch his interview with Dubya. The guy that imitates George W. so well. I had to watch as if it were a trainwreck. I laughed My Ass Off!

Blogging the Grammy's--

Red carpet was boring. Or maybe I just got tired of the stupid questions that bitch on E! kept asking the folks. Ryan Seacrest was caught almost putting the chewed gum from Maroon 5's Adam in his mouth. He really wanted to, too! Ryan is still gay! And now I think half of Maroon 5 are as well. They were cute enough!

Madonna is still f**king fabulous! She was awesome. I love her! I came out right at the time Lucky Star and Like a Virgin launched her career. They were some of the first songs I danced to at my very first gay bar in Montgomery while I was still at Auburn. Those were the days!

The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson wins best female vocal performance over Mariah and Gwen and Sheryl. The show is validated again! American Idol that is!

Sugarland was a nice surprise. But I hear that the blonde lead singer is leaving the band.

Keith Urban is totally HOT! Lucky Nicole Kidman. Tom Cruise eat your heart out of the closet. LOL

Mary J. Blige shoud stick to Hip-Hop and R & B! Didn't she sing off key?

Bono just made me cry when accepting the award for Best Rock Album. That's so gay.

Mariah may have jost gotten an Emmy nod for Best Performance in a Variety or Musical. She was amazing.

The tribute to Sly and the Family Stone was fun to watch! I popped some popcorn!

And then Jay Z and Lincoln Park were singing Yesterday and Sir Paul joined them on stage. That was history in the making. I just witnessed it.

This Grammy telecast will definetely not win any awards. The technical glitches have been noticeable. They just played the beginning of We Belong Together while U2 was winning best song. And then they quickly changed it. I noticed some graphics earlier on top of someones head and also while someone else was singing you could hear the director changing mike commands. WTF!

Or do I watch too many awards shows?

Why didn't I know who John Legend is? I promise I try to keep up with pop culture. It's what makes me popular at parties. And it keeps me young. That reminds me of the other night when Bro In Law and I were watching Scrubs and he wanted to know who Mandy Moore was. So I told him that she was Zach Braff's real life girlfriend. He's like: why do you know shit like that and I say I read my weekly Entertainment Weekly magazine (from cover to cover every week). And then I asked him if he knew who Lindsay Lohan was? He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Too funny!

Nice finish with the N'Awlins tribute.

Did I just see a Mariah Carey shutout?

Stereo TV

Okay so tonight I am watching Jay Leno and I happen to catch his Brokeback Mountain joke. He is talking about Oscar nods and he says something about Heath being nominated for Best Actor and Jake being nominated for Supporting Actor and he goes WTF! (Just like I did!). He wonders aloud about who had the 'BIGGER' part? It was pretty funny!

Ditto--

That is all I have to say!

(Anyone who knows me will understand this random post.)

UPDATE:

Here's a hint!

WOW and OMG!!!

This is the last 48 hours of my life:

(IN REVERSE)

Sunday late evening:

Thank god I made it home safe and sound! Just got home from an after Super Bowl party at Mr and the Lovely Ms Burn's house, (You've met them before!) We started out at a party above the Cigar Bar downtown that we were privy to an invite and all was good. Good food and good drinks and the Super Bowl on the Big Screen. Lotsa peeps we knew and some we didn't and some we wish weren't there. But it got too smoky because of bad ventilation and we left at halftime.

And we went back to Mr and the Lovely Ms Burn's house for the after party. The Good Doctor was there too! It was turning into quite the social event.

Sunday early evening:

So we get to the Super Bowl party above the Cigar Bar and we start mingling with folks! Everybody in our group knew someone there so if was a lot of kissy kissy face face when we got there! Ms. Burns and I both had our "GAYDAR" go off on a couple of guys in the crowd, It was too funny!

The Good Doctor turned into Dr Feelgood right before my eyes. The conversation turned to Brokeback Mountain and he wanted to know if it was good. I told him yes and he said really and then I asked Bro-In-Law what he thought and he agreed. And then threw out "I was looking for action and the only action I saw was in the tent." We laughed!

Sunday afternoon:

We watched the Georgia Force lose to the Colorado Crush because our good friend Prentiss Purnell started for the first time on the Force. He was a teammate of Bro-in-law on the Rome Renegades team last year. (I will have to explain that later.)

Saturday late late late evening:

I march into Sis's and Bro-in-law's bedroom and announce:

"I wish I knew how to quit You!"
They both laugh hysterically. I love them.
They make me get up everyday day.

Saturday late late evening:

So we get home after bowling and everyone is pooped. (We remembered that SNL had Steve Martin and Prince on tonight so we TIVO'ed it) So we played it and then everyone pooped out.
So we were getting ready to bed. Sometimes when I stay at Sis's I have to borrow peebajaba's (sis's word) So I aked for some and I got a short silk robe (as a joke).

I put in on!

Saturday late evening:

Ever since we saw Brokeback Mountain my Bro-in-law has been making sexual innuendos only because he knows how much it teases me. And for that I love him!

Saturday evening:

So we are at the local bowling alley doing the Cosmic Bowling thing with the Nephews and their Friends (they are all skater dudes) and their Cool Parents after catching the movie and we drink lots of pitchers of beer. And we got a special visit with us from Aubie Jr and his MOM.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that I fell off the steps at the Bowling Alley on our way out. Sis blamed it on my shoes (I was wearing my Mules!) but I think it was the number of cups of cheap draft beers. LOL!

Saturday afternoon:

I bought the tickets! Yep Sis and Bro-in-law and I went to see Brokeback Mountain. I am at a loss for words. It was beautiful. At the end both I and Sis were crying, And the audience behind us was crying too. And it was an audience that was as diverse as the country. Both young and old, coupled and single. And the best part was when noone in the theatre walked out after the sex in the pup tent scene. Yep, here in the most reddest of the reddest part of the red state of Georgia, I saw a bit of understanding and hope! (Or am I dreaming??)

That's Hot--

Nope, I am not impersonating that skinny Hilton bitch!

I am talking about the man on man kiss last night on Will & Grace when Will and Taye Diggs locked lips. It was totally hot and I bet the freakigelicals went wacko again.

I read today that they are already planning to boycott NBC and Will & Grace because someone let it slip yesterday that Britney Spears would be playing a conservative christian cooking host on Jack's gay TV network sometime in April. I can't wait for that one either! ha ha ha

TGIF Candy--

Oh my, what I would do to him!

(This pretty much sums up my type of guy, if I had to pick a certain type!)

It's Finally Here--

After getting my usual newspaper and sitting down to eat lunch, I opened up the paper and Surprise! Brokeback Mountain finally arrives today in Rome, Ga. And it's not playing at the art house cinema where I expected, but at the megaplex at the Mall! Wow! Now I can finally get to see what all the fuss is about. Sis and I are gonna go see it tomorrow night. I can't wait!

Today's Candy--

Today's candy is Jeff and I think he was a contestant on Survivor. I don't remember seeing him on there though but I didn't catch all of the seasons of Survivor either.

Spring is near?

HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!

Hump Day Candy--

Now this is some beautiful scenery!

National Signing Day--

Today is the day that high school prospects will officially decide where they will play their college football. So far it looks as if the Auburn Tigers will finish with a top 10 recruiting class. Hell yeah! And War Eagle!
