After the Funeral--
Seems "Six Feet Under" creator and fellow gay, Alan Ball has another new series coming to HBO.
''I was ready to do something a little lighter in tone than Six Feet,'' he tells the Hollywood Reporter. ''Five years of staring into the abyss was enough.'' Of course, Ball's idea of ''lighter'' sounds relative; his new HBO series will still involve characters intimately familiar with coffins. It's going to be based on Charlaine Harris' series of Southern Vampire books, about humans and bloodsuckers living together in rural Louisiana. ''The books are funny, scary, sexy, romantic, bizarre and really fun,'' Ball says.
I can't wait.
