Just Because--

I want to go swimming with him!

Thursday Candy--

Stolie, what flavor ice cream would this hottie be?

Oops! (or do you want dressing with that turkey?)

Seems like the GOP candidates will stoop to anything to make us believe that our Iraqi excursion is going swell.

Get a load of this crap:

From Daily Kos:

Howard Kaloogian (R) has posted a photograph on his campaign website which he claims to have recently taken in downtown Baghdad, to show how "calm" and "stable" the city was during his visit.

Check out the photo under the fold. I am no photographic expert, but to me, this does not appear to be a photo of Baghdad (or even Iraq) at all.

It didn't take long for the blogosphere (our new free press) to find out that this is actually a suburb of Istanbul, Turkey. Oops!

Said candidate also needs geography lessons. Or maybe his staff screwed up his itineray and he didn't notice. What a dumbass!!

Wikipedia explains!

Today's Candy--

Another cutie in jeans hanging out by the freeway. Honk if you like what you see!

What Happened?

Last night's American Idol sucked wind!

We were thoroughly disappointed in the performances of most of the contestants.

Taylor was still Taylor (go here to play a cool game to make Taylor dance and sing.)

Paris was entertaining but the rest were not that good.

Who's going home tonight? Lisa! (or Kellie Pickles?) One of them must go and I hope next week's theme will bring the energy back.

Today's candy is my boyfriend, Chris Evans. I found this new pic of him that I hadn't seen before. Hubba hubba!

Half of the Final Four--

Congrats to the Southeastern Conference for landing both LSU and Florida in the Final Four.

Who says the ACC is the best basketball conference? Not this year!

The Sky Fell--

And landed on top of Chicken Little (Kevin Covais) of American Idol.

He should have been gone last week in my opinion.

Grey Matter?

Sis and BroInLaw and I are all huge fans of Grey's Anatomy and I noticed that they were doing a spoof of it on the TVLand Awards last night with past TV stars playing the pivotal roles.

It was freaking hilarious!

HotLips from M*A*S*H played Meredith Grey-
Julia (the Nurse played by Dianne Carrol) was filling in for Dr. Bailey-
The Doc from the Love Boat was McDreamy-

Also included was Dr. Kildare, the guy from St. Elsewhere, and Chad Everitt from the old Medical Center show.

You get the picture!

We enjoyed it and kept watching the awards and I was pleasantly surprised at how entertained we were watching the old TV stars mingle with the new TV stars.

Yep, and Grey's Anatomy won the award for Future Classic. They definitely got that one right.

Today's Candy--

He's hunkalicious!

Idol Chatter--

My top two so far: Taylor and Chris

Did you see Chris rock out last night?

Taylor's Gray Charles blog (He's from my old stomping grounds of Birmingham, AL. As were Ruben Studdard and Bo Bice, Idol winner and last year's runner up.)

Rounding out my top five are Paris, Mandisa and Ace (cause he's a cutie and we think he may be a friend of Dorothy).

War Damn Eagle!!

Congrats to the Auburn Women's Swimming and Diving team for taking the National Title away from the #1 Ranked Georgia Bulldogs. You go girls, (I mean ladies)!!

Today's Candy--

If only he would drop that towel!

America finally got one right!

Okay, so the American Idol contestant that I correctly predicted would leave had to go tonight!

Come on, she forgot the words. Not once, but twice.

And Ace and Lisa joining her in the bottom three. Come on you guys. All the losers are getting their votes and the good ones aren't because everyone thinks "Oh, they were good enough to make it through"

Get off your arses and VOTE!

And do the same this next November. That's how we ended up in this current mess!

Random rant over.

Will catch up later I promise!

Leno Again!

Yep, came home from Sis's and started watching Leno cause Simon was on.

Last Friday I watched as Jay did a spoof of Ryan from Idol and how he was keeping his distance when on with the Girls and he was all touchy feely with the Boyz. It was funny.

And he played it for Simon tonight. LMAO!

Simon insinuated that Ryan was gay, but I think he knows FOR SURE because he WAS THERE! JMO!

WU - Part II

So you get the picture of the fun we were having, right?

After the Nutz, everybody was ready for a break so we all went out to the garage so that the smokers could smoke!?!

And we got to see JoJo's new ride. It was cool, and had all the cool new computer stuff like when it senses rain the wipers turn on automatically. How cool is that? It prompted Bro to fake spit on it to see if it would recognize it or not. Yep that turned into a conversation about the KITT car from Knight Rider and Sis and I were the only ones who knew it. And DoDo, too!

Too funny!

Storm's a brewin'

So tonight we are at Sis's watching the American Idol results and we get to the end where they are about to announce the bottom two guys. And then the Dish goes out, yep, massive thunderstorms heading our way from the west. We knew they were coming. Good thing, Mr. Burns was watching with us and he lives in the neighborhood and he has Cable, not satellite. Guess what, we all went dashing to his house in the storm to catch the last part of American Idol in our peebajaba's!

Now, that note on the end of my list from last weekend is starting to make more sense!

Weekend Update - Part I

So the twinz got word of an upcoming skaterdude skateboard tournament at the popular Progressive Skate Park in nearby Canton (well it's only 45 minutes away) and they ask if we can go so that they may enter their first tournament.

You gotta love it that Sis and BroInLaw both agreed it was a good idea (How else do you get to be the Flying Tomato in the Olympics?) but the finances were a bit short this week and I agreed to sponsor the entry fee for the both of them to enter.

And then we get the schedule. Saturday is registration and free skate practice and then the tournament starts on Sunday afternoon. Okay, that means we either commute an hour each way each day or we have to find overnight accommodations.

And then it hit me! DoDo and JoJo only live about 10 minutes from the skatepark. So I call them. DoDo and JoJo used to be our neighbors when we lived at the lake and then we parted ways but still keep in touch. They are excited to have us come over for the weekend. Great, the whole plan is slowly falling into place.

Now everyone is excited! Me, for getting to see DoDo and JoJo and Lil Miss Daisy. Sis and BroInLaw for not having to make the commute back and forth and the twinz for getting to skate in their first tournament. It's all working out.

Then we get to Saturday and the DAY FROM HELL!

First there were two soccer games instead of the one that we had planned into the itinerary. Then there was the emergency call from Just Zack whose alternator went out in his mode of transportation and we had to deliver an extra car to him that caused us to add about 50 extra miles to our journey to the skatepark and JoJo's house.

But we finally arrived later than usual. And then the party gets started.

We do the whole cocktailing and catching up and pretty soon we start playing games. First DoDo brings out the plastic BB revolvers that he and JoJo bought at a gun show here in Rome and play "Mr and Mrs Smith" with each other and have wars in their house together. (Now that, my folks, is how to keep your marriage fresh and fun!)

Then it progresses into seeing who can shoot the upside down styrofoam cup off each other's heads (a'la William Tell). It was hysterical.

And somewhere in all the hysterical fun and confusion, DoDo picks up a piece of coral off the fireplace hearth and throws it right at Bro's crotch. Direct Hit! Both Nutz. He falls off the couch into the floor in agony for about 5 minutes. And all we could do was laugh our asses off! I am laughing now as I remember the details.

(to be continued)

Tuesday Candy--

I just love guys in blue jeans!

TGFC--

Translated that means "Thank God For Cable"

Nope, that's not right! I have to take God out of that or the fundigelicals will start boycotting my blog!

Okay, "Thank Goodness for Cable".

Or,

TGFL! (Kinda sounds like a new sports league, huh?)

Translated that means "Thank Goodness For LOGO!"

(Editors Note: Tonight I watched the LOGO coverage of the Red Carpet at the Oscars. They explained that they were "OUT" there on the ruby rug and the only thing that distinguished them from the "CNN", or "ABC" or the "NBC" or even the "MTV's" were the logos on their microphones and they were getting dissed by everyone. )

Until Ang Lee walked by and saw the LOGO logo!

And then they showed Ang Lee coming over to talk to the LOGO guy, Jason Bellini!

And then they went to an interview with a couple that were at the after party and one gay Korean guy said that he was pulling for "Crash" to win best picture all along.

Then it hit me. "Crash" was much more ugly than two gay cowboys who loved each other and the film that should have won "did" indeed win the statue.

The real world is still intolerant of difference. (I am glad at least to see an expose on NBC Nightly News exposing this ugly fact to the people who choose to "Pay Attention". Whether we be boy or girl, gay or straight, tall or short, ugly or pretty, black or white, fat or skinny, smart or dumb, conservative or liberal, blonde or brunette, top or bottom? Does it really matter? NO!

Watching Leno (again)--

Only because of Matthew McConaughey and Jay's post-Oscar monolog.

Then when Matthew walked out the crowd went wild. (And Sis would too but she fell asleep before "Medium" was over. I was over there earlier for dinner.)

Cracked me up when Jay said that was "me" doing your version of Penelope. Matthew just cracked up, too.

(Editors Note: I had to call Bro-In-Law and remind him to record this for Sis as an Anniversary thought. {Matthew is one of Sis's favorite hollywood hunks}. They celebrate 11 years together this next weekend and I am keeping the twinz while they go OUT and celebrate this next weekend. He thanked me for being Gay and being His brother-in-law for reminding him that this would mean something to his wife, my Sis! I believe the quote was, you're a good man!)

Today's Candy--

I would love to come home and find this waiting for me in my bed. I also love the color of that bedroom wall.

And the winner is......

Damn, I was afraid that "Crash" would steal away "Brokeback Mountain's" thunder and it did at the end. But I still won the Oscar pool at our Oscar dinner party and the movie still won the most Oscars, so there!

The party was fabulantastic!

Weekend Update--- (coming soon)

Yep and it involves the following:

--Kitt the Computer Car
--Ocean Coral + Two Nuts = painful situation for the Bro-In-Law
--4 SK8TR Boyz in their first Tournament Competition
--William Tell tournament involving plastic BB's and styrofoam cups
--The sweetest doggie ever

Stay Tuned!

(Editor's Note: I had to make a list as things were happening too fast.)

Unfolded the list and found this last minute entry before going to bed:

"My family is trying to get on my blog."

I don't remember why I added that one. Or do I?

Thanks Sis for sending this one. Too funny!

Paula's back!

Yeah, and hell yeah! Watched the results show of American Idol tonight and I have to say that I prefer "Paula gone Wild" over the other Paula from previous weeks. Tonight she was back to the old word-slurring and buzzed girl with the crush on all the guys girl that we came to know last season. Yep, she's back on the pain pills or has she been smoking something? I wasn't the only one to notice either. Go check out the comments in my last post. Ha-Ha!

They inspired this blog entry.

Thanks, MamaChristy and Spider!

Gold Digger!

Watching Leno again tonite! And OMG!

Too funny!

When he did the President Bush new rap video, I fell on the floor laughing my ass off!

To the tune of Kanye West's Gold Digger.

Condi Rice doing a break dance?

Did any one else find it as funny as me?

I am sure I can post it from YouTube tomorrow.....
