More Baby Steps--
First, the voters of Virginia elected another Democratic governor and then they ousted one of the biggest homophobes out of their state assembly. Now it looks like another Virginia institution is going to get things right:
Tech launches program to combat harassment
BLACKSBURG -- Virginia Tech officials unveiled a new anti-harassment program Monday to address concerns that the university had failed to adequately respond to discrimination against gay and lesbian students.
Within several weeks, Tech plans to launch a new Web site that will allow people to file confidential reports of harassment on campus.

Hey Spider, give credit where credit is due! If it can happen in Appalachia then it can happen anywhere, right?
THAT'S what's so amazing TB - Tech, one of the most conservative and "backwards" schools in the state is taking a gigantic step forward - there may be some good at Hokie High after all!
