London Baby--

Ang Lee's critically acclaimed 'Brokeback Mountain' was a massive hit in London cinemas over the weekend, opening at number one with a massive £306,725 haul.

The well-received western, which stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as two cowboys who embark on a doomed love affair, is favourite to pick up a plethora of high-profile awards over the next few weeks, so expect it to keep the multiplexes full for the foreseeable future.

Comments:
Hey Tonito, I saw it on Tuesday. I liked it. It wasn't what I expected though. The film was very well received, we had no-one walking out or any jeering etc. I think my love for Jake Gyllenhaal trebled in the space of 2,1/2 hours!

It still hasn't opened yet in my little conservative NW corner of GA! Maybe by next weekend. Glad it was well received across the pond.
